  • Opening a charitable checking account at the Community Foundation is as easy as 1-2-3!

    1. Fill out this brief application. You will need the names and contact information of everyone who will have access to the account to complete the form.

    2. Review the fund terms and conditions, and sign at the bottom of this application form.

    3. The Community Foundation will review your application, countersign the agreement and send you a link to access your new account in the fundholder portal in 2-3 business days.

    From here you can begin making contributions and granting to your favorite nonprofits!

  • Charitable checking accounts are considered to be an expendable donor-advised fund per IRS guidelines. Contributions made to the fund represent an irrevocable gift to the Community Foundation and the Community Foundation has exclusive legal control over this fund and all donations to it. Please consult a financial advisor regarding the tax deductibility of contributions made to this fund.

    In addition to the primary account holder, up to three (3) additional individuals (age 18 or older) can be added as account holders. All account holders will have the same level of access and permissions as the primary account holder. This includes recommending grants, receiving account statements and having access to all account information.
